  • Jiomart Will Be Embedded In Whatsapp In Next Six Months.

Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries plans to embed its ecommerce app JioMart in WhatsApp within six months. As the Indian conglomerate looks to ramp up its retail and grocery business in the country. Reliance, which has been trying to move away from its mainstay oil and energy business, had last year raised about $26 billion from investors like Google and Facebook for its digital and retail arms as it takes on Amazon.com Inc and Walmart-backed Flipkart in India.


This move to integrate JioMart with WhatsApp will allow hundreds of millions of users to order products from Reliance without having to leave the app. At last count, WhatsApp had about 400 million users in India. Facebook invested $5.7 billion for a 9.99 percent stake in Jio Platforms last year.


  • Duckduckgo Surpassed 100 Million Daily Search Queries For First Time In 12 Years.

As people move on to secure messaging apps like Telegram and Signal, privacy-focused search engine DuckDuckGo has surpassed 100 million daily search queries for the first time in its 12-year-old history. More than 4 million users have installed its app on both Android and iOS app stores and Chrome extension, the company said.


Launched in 2008, DuckDuckGo’s search engine is far behind Google but the latest controversies around user data privacy has helped it gain momentum like Telegram and Signal. DuckDuckGo has been selected as the default search engine in the highly-secure chat platform Tor Browser, and is often the default search engine in the private browsing modes of several other browsers.


  • Man With $250 Million In Bitcoin Is Unable To Remember His Password To Access It.
We've all had the experience of forgetting a password, but one programmer named Stefan Thomas has lost his password to a hard drive containing $240 million worth of Bitcoin, and he only has two password attempts left before he is locked out forever.


Thomas was given 7,002 Bitcoins more than 10 years ago for making a video how cryptocurrency works. At the time, his collection of Bitcoin were worth only a few dollars each, and he decided to store them in an IronKey digital wallet on a hard drive. He wrote the password to that drive on a piece of paper that he ended up losing, and now his Bitcoin are worth $240 million and he can't remember what password he wrote down all those years ago.


  • Oppo Launched The Reno 5 Pro 5G Smartphone; Price = Rs 35,990
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo on Monday unveiled its new device - Reno 5 Pro 5G in India. With the punch hole curved display, the sleek smartphone comes with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging feature. To give the much needed boost and provide a smooth functioning, Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G is packed with 12GB of ram.

Before its big launch in India, the tech giant debuted the device in China. Priced at Rs. 35,990, Reno 5 Pro 5G flashes a quad rear camera set-up with in-display fingerprint scanner.


  • EdTech Startup Udayy Raised $2.5 Million From Alpha Wave & Info Edge Ventures.

Edtech startup Udayy on Monday announced it has raised $2.5 million in seed funding led by Alpha Wave Incubation (AWI) and InfoEdge Ventures. Better Capital, Cred’s Kunal Shah and other angels also participated in the round.  The startup will use the fresh capital for next phase of its growth which will include curriculum development, product suite expansion, and hiring across the product, curriculum and engineering teams.


Founded by Saumya Yadav, Mahak Garg, and Karan Varshney alumni of IIT-Delhi and Stanford University. Udayy is teaching Maths and English to children in the age group of 6-11 years (grades 1 to 5). The startup claims to facilitate the development of mathematical thinking and confident speaking in children by engaging them in an interactive, small classroom with 3-5 children. The startup has also launched a free app providing daily worksheets for children.
