- Twitter acts on inactive accounts, new verification soon.
Twitter has started removing blue verification badges from inactive and incomplete accounts and will begin the new verification process for its users in few weeks. Twitter, which paused its public verification process or that elusive Blue Badge three years ago, in November announced to re-launch verification, including a new public application process, in early 2021. "Last call! As part of our new verification policy, we'll remove verification badges from inactive and incomplete accounts," Twitter Safety said in a tweet. The company is reading out directly to users who have issues with their accounts.
Twitter had said it would re-launch verification, including a new public application process, in early 2021.Verified accounts on Twitter will have a blue check next to the display name throughout the app. The company has identified six types of accounts in its draft policy as Notable Accounts government; companies; brands and non-profit organizations; news; entertainment; sports and activists/organizers and other influential individuals. The draft verification policy is available in English, Hindi, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, and Japanese. "We are also working with local non-governmental organizations and our Trust and Safety Council to ensure as many perspectives are represented as possible," Twitter said.

- All iPhone 13 models to come with sensor-shift camera stabilization.
The iPhone 13 series is also tipped to get Direct Time-of-Flight (D-ToF) technology. These sensors would be provided by a US-based company called II-VI, which would be entering Apple's supply chain for its next-generation iPhone models. The iPhone 13 lineup may mirror the iPhone 12 family of phones, with a 5.4-inch iPhone 13 Mini, 6.1-inch iPhone 13, 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max. The Ultra-Wide cameras on the two high-end models would be significantly upgraded to f/1.8, 6P (six-element lens) with autofocus.
- YouTube.com Now Available to Be Installed as a Progressive Web App.
Users are getting the prompt to “Install app.” This is different from the browser's manual overflow menu ‘Install’ button, which was available for users for quite some time. After users select this option, they see a large red play logo in the app launcher to open YouTube in a window that does not have the address bar and other UI elements, helping users get a more dedicated experience. According to Chrome Unboxed, progressive web apps can locally cache video downloads for offline viewing like their app counterpart. Web apps require zero downloads and are becoming more indistinguishable from regular apps by the day.
