- Tesla Launched Unit in Bengaluru & Named 3 Directors Ahead of India Launch.
Tesla, the world's most valuable carmaker, has launched an Indian subsidiary as it prepares to create a much-awaited manufacturing plant and R&D unit in India.
The unit named Tesla India Motors and Energy Private Ltd was incorporated in Bengaluru on January 8, and Vaibhav Taneja, Venkatrangam Sreeram, and David Jon Feinstein have been named as directors, according to disclosures with the corporate affairs ministry. It is a private unlisted company with an authorized capital of Rs 15,00,000 and a paid-up capital of Rs 1,00,000.
The Karnataka government has already proposed a list of locations, Tumkur being one, to Tesla for setting up its manufacturing facility. Earlier in 2020, Tesla's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Elon Musk hinted at the company entering India in 2021.

Sony's newest console, the PlayStation 5 finally was up for pre order in India on multiple retailers at 12 noon today. And, barely a few minutes into the game, there was none available. And no one expected such a rush for the new console in India. Keeping with the demand that was seen international market, the PS5 consoles in India were out of stock at all retailers within a matter of minutes. On Amazon it was available only for few seconds and then it was unavailable.
The previous PS4 console had around 4,500 units at launch had lasted about a few weeks before going out of stock.

After Twitter permanently banned Trump's account, Facebook is facing pressure to do the same. Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg said that Monday the social network doesn't plan to lift the indefinite block the company placed on President Donald Trump's Facebook and Instagram's handle due to Wednesday's deadly riot on Capitol Hill.
Facebook said last week Trump's accounts would be locked for at least two weeks, but Twitter took the unprecedented step of permanently barring Trump from the platform.

Vivo has launched a new smartphone, the Y12s in India. The device is in affordable range that comes with two cameras at the back and a big battery. The Vivo Y12s comes with a waterdrop-style display notch and also brings with itself multiple colour options.The new phone has been launched by Vivo as an upgrade over the Vivo Y12 that was launched in India in June last year.Â
The company has announced that the Y12s has been priced in India at Rs 9,990 for the 3GB + 32GB storage variant. Both these variants will be available in Phantom Black and Glacier Blue colour options. Vivo has announced that the phone will be available in India through the company's online store, Amazon, Flipkart, and other partner retail stores in the country.

Motorola has launched the Motorola One 5G Ace in the US. The midrange smartphone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor for 5G. It supports a triple-camera setup at the back. The camera setup comes with a 48MP primary sensor at the back. On the front, there is a tall 6.7-inch display. The smartphone packs a massive 5000 mAh battery. Motorola has launched the One 5G Ace for $399.99 in the US. This roughly translates to Rs 29,300 in India.
