  • Apple Planning To Launch Thinner, Lighter and Low-Cost Ipad This Year.

Apple is reportedly planning to launch a significantly "thinner and lighter" entry-level ninth-generation low-cost iPad this year. The upcoming iPad will sport the same svelte body as the latest-generation iPad Air 3 with no design changes. The display size on the new iPad is going to remain the same at 10.2-inches but it might be more thinner than the iPad Air at 6.3 mm.

The new iPad is also expected to be lighter at 460 gm, 30gm less than the 490 gm of the current one. The device will continue to feature a Touch ID Home button and a Lightning port, with Apple refusing to switch to USB-C.


  • Apple, alongwith world's largest E-commerce website, remove Parler from Services after it was used in capitol riots.

Apple Inc. removed Parler from its App Store after this app was mentioned among those sociaL media which were used to organize Wednesday’s riots at the Capitol.The removal came a day after the Cupertino, California-based technology giant threatened to remove the app, telling the developers Friday they had 24 hours to provide Apple with a plan for moderating and filtering the service.


A letter provided by Apple to Parler indicates that the social media company did offer to make changes to its app in order to remain on the App Store. Parler told Apple that it “has been taking this content very seriously for weeks,” that it would implement a moderation plan “for the time being” and that it would implement a temporary task force, as per the letter.


  • Apple, Hyundai Set to Agree Electric car Tie-up, says Korea IT News.

Apple and Hyundai Motor plans to sign a partnership deal on Autonomous Electric Vehicles(EV's) by March 2021 and start production as soon as 2024 in US. The Companies also plan to introduce the beta version of Apple's Cars next year.


Reuters Reported Last month that Apple was moving Forward with Autonomous Car technology and aimed to produce a passenger vehicle that could include its own battery technology as early as 2024.



  • Elon Musk's Starlink broadband terminals get approval in UK.

Elon Musk's Starlink Satellite Broadband System has received licensing approval for its User Terminal frok UK's Commercial regulator. The Authorization was granted in November. SpaceX had earlier launched 100's of starlink satellite and had started testing a beta service im North America


  • China's Bottled water tycoon $6bn away from overtaking Zuckerberg.

China's bottled water tycoon Zhong Shanshan, who recently overtook Warren Buffett to become the world's sixth richest person, is only $6 billion away from surpassing Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's net worth of $101 billion. Shanshan's wealth currently stands at $95 billion and has surged by nearly $20 billion in the last 10 days.


The $100 billion wealth club has Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, and Bill Gates, apart from Zuckerberg and Arnault. Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is the only billionaire to cross the $200 billion net worth mark.Zhong may be the next to join the $100 billion club.
