- Vodafone Idea (VI) Delivered Highest Voice Quality In December 2020; Followed by Jio, BSNL and Airtel.
According to TRAI data, Idea is leading the average voice quality in December. The Idea rating by the telecom regulator was actually reported indoor and outdoor during the same month. In addition, the operator has managed to get 97.89 percent ratings, which seems satisfactory for the particular month.
The regulator also pointed out that Vi (Vodafone-Idea) gets the second spot on the MyCall portal. The operator has received a 4.3 quality rating along with an 86.68 percent satisfaction rating. However, it has managed to garner 4.4 ratings indoors calls quality and a 3.6 rating in outdoors call. But, in the previous month, the operator gets a 4.6 rating voice quality.

WhatsApp has officially updated its terms of service and privacy policy and given users till February 8, 2021 to accept the same to continue using the messaging platform. For those who do not accept the new terms, there is the option to delete their accounts, which is a standard practice in the industry.
Users in India would have noticed the new policy popup when they logged into the messaging app for the first time today. The WhatsApp message for users notes at the end, “By tapping AGREE, you accept the new terms and privacy policy, which take effect on February 8, 2021. After this date, you’ll need to accept these updates to continue using WhatsApp. You can also visit the Help Center if you would prefer to delete your account and would like more information.”
- Mi Tv's Got Price Hike In India Upto Rs 3000.
A number of Mi TV models have received yet another price hike in India, 91mobiles has learned from offline retail sources. It includes variants of the Mi TV 4A, Mi TV 4A Pro, Mi TV 4X, and Mi TV Horizon Edition. The price hike on the Mi TV models goes up by as much as Rs. 3,000, making them more expensive than before. The new prices will be applicable at offline retail stores across India and are also reflecting on Xiaomi India’s website as well.
- Poco M2, Poco C3, Price Cut In India; Poco M2 Now Starts At Rs. 9,999 & Poco C3 Top Variant Costs Rs. 8,499.
The Poco M2 gets a price cut of Rs. 1,000 for its base variant that comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. Hence, consumers will now have to pay Rs. 9,999 for the Poco M2, which makes it slightly easier on the wallet. The 128GB variant of the Poco M2 also gets another price cut with a reduction of Rs. 1,500. Hence, the price of this variant drops down to Rs. 10,499.
The price cut on the Poco C3 is specifically for the top-end 4GB/64GB model, which is now available at Rs 8,499, down from its original Rs 8,999 price. The base 3GB/32GB Poco C3 still costs Rs 7,499 and for Poco X3 only one variant (6GB/128GB) has been discounted. With the price cut the Poco X3 is now available for Rs 17,499, down from the original Rs 18,499 price.
- Boat Raised $100 Million Funding From Warburg Pincus.
Consumer tech products brand boAt on Wednesday said it has raised USD 100 million (about Rs 731.6 crore) in funding from an affiliate of Warburg Pincus, a global private equity firm.The funding will also help build on boAt’s efforts to create and support a manufacturing ecosystem under the Make-in-India initiative.
The product portfolio of boAt includes headphones, earphones, smartwatches, speakers, travel chargers and premium cables. Launched in 2016, boAt currently has approximately 150 employees on its team across its offices in Delhi and Mumbai. In 2018, it had announced raising Rs. 6 crore in funding from Fireside Ventures. The consumer tech products firm continues to achieve rapid revenue growth (more than 100 per cent over the past several years) and exhibits a strong profitability profile.
